Getting Started with Mindfulness

In a busy school day, students often return from lunch or recess feeling unsettled, distracted, or full of big emotions. Taking a few minutes to pause can help the whole class regroup, refocus and reconnect.

These mindfulness activities are a simple, practical way to support students to settle their bodies and minds. They’re designed to fit easily into your routine—whether you use them after breaks, as a transition between lessons, or to create a calm end to the day.

There’s no single “right” way to bring mindfulness into the classroom, so choose what works best for your group.
